Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
1. Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
This book is my most anticipated novel… of ALL TIME. I literally feel like I’ve been waiting for this book all of my life, and that’s not even an over exaggeration. The day this book is up for preorder will be the day I believe it’s going to be finally released. MUCH EXCITEMENT.
2. Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi (Shatter Me #3)
I was late to the game with this series, but that doesn’t make me any less of a fan. I’m excited to FINALLY be around for the release date. After that cliffhanger ending, I NEED MORE. More Juliette, more Adam, more Warner, MORE KENJI KISHIMOTO. I have a feeling this book is going to be painful, but I kind of cannot wait.
3. Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson
I’m actually still reading her second novel Second Chance Summer, but I cannot wait for this one. Amy & Roger made me an instant fan of hers, so I’m sure this next one will be great as well.
4. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
Jenny Han is incredible, and I cannot wait for this one.
5. What I Thought Was True by Huntley Fitzpatrick
My Life Next Door was one of my favorite books of the summer (I know, I was late with that one as well), but oh well. I cannot wait to read this one. The cover is gorgeous and I’m sure the book will be incredible as well.
6. Split Second by Kasie West (Pivot Point #2)
PIVOT POINT! That book was stellar. And that ending?! AH. This is one book that I cannot wait for. There are so many possibilities as to what may happen, and it’s just SO exciting. Plus, I like to think Kasie West and I have a special connetion because she lives relatively close to me. (OR. Relatively close to where I lived before I moved for college)
7. #Scandal by Sarah Ockler
oh my gosh. I was literally just on Twitter and someone mentioned this one. I had no idea that she had a book coming out in 2014, but I AM SO EXCITED. I binge read all of her books this past summer, so I’m incredibly excited for this one.
8. The Secrets of Lily Graves by Sarah Strohmeyer
I WANT THIS ONE.
9. The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith
The main characters meet in an elevator, that they have gotten stuck in because of a citywide blackout. Once they’re able to leave the elevator, they explore the city together. They the continue a friendship through postcards, emails, and letters? I CANNOT. I NEED IT. I NEED IT. I NEED IT.
10. Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Lately, I’ve been really into books with amnesia stricken characters, SO. This one is right up my alley. And it’s JLA. I’m pretty sure anyone who’s a fan of hers can attest that this book is going to be great.
Narrowing my list down to only ten was ridiculously hard. I tried to avoid sequels, so I only went with my MOST anticipated series. If you haven’t already noticed, I’m a huge fan of contemporary novels, and there are only rare occasions where I’ll venture out of that comfort zone. (usually when I see that a book is loved by almost everyone)
